On October 11 in Agen, Choupidou will participate in its very first family sports event alongside Bike and Run Family.
This is a symbolic first step for our association, which shares a simple belief with this event: the bond between a child and their loved ones is precious and deserves to be preserved.
A Sporting Adventure for the Whole Family
The Bike and Run Family is a 5-kilometer family event, timed but above all friendly and accessible.
On a secure course, parents and children move together, alternating between running and cycling, in a festive and supportive atmosphere.
Since 2017, several hundred families have gathered each year to experience this unique event. This year marks a new stage in the event's history: the Bike and Run Family is leaving its Bordeaux birthplace to meet families all over France.
Among the stops on this national tour is Agen, on October 11.
More Than a Race: A Story of Connection
If Choupidou has chosen to support this adventure, it's not just because it brings families together through sport. It's especially because it highlights what is at the heart of our mission: the bond between children and those who love them.
During a Bike and Run Family event, families share effort, emotions, encouragement, and memories.
In the pediatric and neonatal units where Choupidou operates, situations are different, but the need remains the same.
When hospitalization imposes a separation, even temporary, preserving the bond becomes essential.
A photo sent to a parent at work, a video received by distant grandparents, a shared smile despite the distance: these small moments often have immense value.
The Bike and Run Family of Stars: A Commitment That Resonates With Us
The event also hosts the Bike and Run Family of Stars.
This initiative allows disadvantaged, struggling, or parentless children to experience an exceptional day alongside personalities, professional athletes, and great champions.
This approach particularly resonates with the values promoted by Choupidou.
Because every child deserves to feel surrounded.
Because no family should be deprived of precious moments with their child.
Because human connection remains a fundamental need, whatever the circumstances.
A First Step for Choupidou
This participation in Agen marks our first involvement in a family sports event.
It is also an opportunity to meet families, to raise awareness of our work, and to share our vision: that of a world where distance, daily constraints, or hospitalization should never prevent us from staying connected to those who matter.
